Book Collection
The Library provides some 200,000 books covering the range of subjects taught in the polytechnic. The collection is particularly strong in the disciplines of engineering, technology, IT and business.
For recreational reading, there are also many titles on self-improvement, sports, hobbies, travel and other general topics as well as fiction.
The main book collections are the Lending, Colours, Reference, Red Spot, and E-Book collections.

Lending |
Locations: Main Library (Levels 3, 3A, and Da Vinci Level), Hilltop Library
The largest number of books are in the Lending Collection. These books may be borrowed by all users. An extensive Lending collection is available at the Main Library. The Hilltop Library also has a comprehensive Lending collection with key titles in business, IT and social sciences.

Colours

Locations: Main Library (Colours Zone, Level 1), Hilltop Library
This collection features books covering multi-disciplinary subjects. These include self-improvement, sports, hobbies, travel, fiction, etc.

Reference |
Locations: Main Library (Level 3, 3A and Da Vinci Level), Hilltop Library
This collection includes reference materials such as: dictionaries, encyclopaedias, handbooks, directories, yearbooks, atlases government law publications and standards (ASTM, BSI, ISO, NCCLS, Singapore Standards etc.). They are shelved according to LCC call number together with the Lending collection, except for standards which are located at Level 2A.

Red Spot

Locations: Main Library (Level 3, 3A and Da Vinci Level), Hilltop Library
This collection contain copies of popular textbooks recommended by lecturers and are reserved for short-term loan of 4 hours or overnight. The Red Spot collection is shelved according to LCC call number together with the Main Lending collection. At Hilltop Library, the collection is shelved separately.

Mode of Access: On and off campus via ELISER
The Library provides access to e-books on IT, business, science, engineering, arts and social sciences topics. E-books are listed in the catalogue or may also be viewed from: ELISER > Resources > E-Books.
